Silks

ADULT_SilksSilks (also known as tissu, fabric or ribbons) is a graceful circus art in which aerialists do challenging climbs, wraps and poses while hanging from a long, flowing piece of fabric.

People are drawn to the beauty of this popular apparatus. One of TSCA’s most requested classes, silks offer a thrilling combination of power and grace. It’s a challenging apparatus that requires dedication and patience. Mastering it takes flexibility, athleticism, control – and a commitment to building strength and skill through careful training and plenty of hard work.

TSCA has classes for all levels of ability. The beginner session is a great way to get started, and offers an excellent foundation in the basic techniques you’ll need to move to the next level. You’ll learn the mechanics of silks, including foot locks, binding techniques and more. Students move forward according to lesson plan and ability; when you’ve mastered basic skills, you’ll be ready to move on to more advanced levels.

These classes provide a solid, structured program and one-on-one guidance to maximize your learning. Silks are available in heights ranging from 22-38 feet. All TSCA classes focus on individual training, and offer a low 2:1 student to silks ratio.
